DPD UK Partners with Mark 3 International to Strengthen US-Bound E-commerce Logistics
DPD UK, part of the global Geopost Group, has announced a strategic partnership with express logistics specialist Mark 3 International to enhance parcel and freight movements from the UK to the United States. The collaboration is designed to support DPD UK’s growing volume of US-bound shipments by introducing tailored logistics and customs solutions. As transatlantic e-commerce continues to expand, both companies see this alliance as a timely response to rising demand for faster, more compliant, and more flexible delivery services between the two markets.
One of the core drivers behind the partnership is the increasing complexity of American import regulations. Recent changes to US de minimis exemptions and heightened customs scrutiny have made cross-border shipping more challenging, particularly for e-commerce retailers. Through this partnership, Mark 3 International will help DPD UK and its customers navigate these regulatory shifts by offering specialised brokerage services, regulatory advisory support, and compliance-focused logistics solutions. The goal is to reduce border delays, prevent costly errors, and ensure smoother entry of goods into the US market.
The collaboration will deliver a full suite of services across both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) channels. Mark 3 will provide bespoke delivery and customs frameworks that accommodate different shipment types, product categories, and business models. This includes Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) solutions, which allow shippers greater flexibility in how duties and taxes are handled, as well as specialised freight services for higher-value or time-critical consignments. By combining DPD UK’s established parcel network with Mark 3’s cross-border expertise, customers gain access to a more adaptable and scalable logistics platform.
Matthew Ware, Chief Executive Officer of Mark 3 International, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership and the alignment between the two companies. He noted that DPD UK’s strong brand presence and operational scale make it an ideal partner for Mark 3’s transatlantic capabilities. Ware emphasised that the logistics industry is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by geopolitical uncertainty, regulatory reform, and evolving consumer expectations. In this environment, he believes flexible, customer-specific solutions are no longer optional, but essential for long-term success.
At the heart of Mark 3’s operating philosophy is a commitment to custom-built logistics strategies rather than standardised, one-size-fits-all models. Ware explained that exporters today face highly individual challenges depending on product type, shipping volume, and regulatory exposure. By investing heavily in infrastructure, digital tools, and specialist teams, Mark 3 aims to understand each customer’s unique requirements and design solutions that maximise efficiency, compliance, and delivery performance. This partnership with DPD UK allows that approach to be scaled across a broader customer base.
For DPD UK, the partnership represents an important enhancement of its US destination offering. As part of Geopost Group, DPD UK benefits from one of the world’s largest parcel delivery networks, operating across more than 50 countries and employing over 57,000 people globally. With annual revenues of approximately €15.8 billion, the group continues to invest heavily in international growth. The alliance with Mark 3 strengthens DPD UK’s ability to support merchants looking to access American consumers with confidence, reliability, and regulatory assurance.
The agreement also aligns with a series of recent infrastructure investments by Mark 3 International. Over the past year, the company has opened a new 12,000-square-foot operational facility at JFK Airport in New York, designed to streamline inbound processing, customs clearance, and onward distribution. In addition, Mark 3 has announced plans to establish a similar facility at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, further expanding its coast-to-coast US footprint. These developments provide a strong physical foundation to support the growing flow of parcels and freight generated by the partnership.
Together, DPD UK and Mark 3 International are positioning themselves to meet the long-term demands of global e-commerce. As online retailers increasingly look beyond domestic markets for growth, the need for dependable cross-border logistics partners becomes critical. This strategic partnership not only enhances operational capabilities but also sends a clear signal to the market: both companies are committed to continuous innovation, regulatory expertise, and customer-focused service design. By combining scale, infrastructure, and specialist knowledge, the alliance aims to set a new standard for UK-to-US parcel and freight logistics.
