Mark 3 International, a leading provider of express parcel and freight logistics between the United Kingdom and the United States, has announced a strategic partnership with New York-based technology start-up Dobby AI.
The partnership’s first objective is to develop an AI Operations Agent capable of organising, consolidating, and standardising shipment data. This will make data reconciliation easier and create a single, reliable source of information that can be shared across the entire supply chain.
Addressing the Data Challenges in Global Logistics
In international logistics, shipment data often comes from multiple sources such as emails, text messages, ERP systems, TMS platforms, and internal communication channels. This fragmentation makes tracking and verifying information complex and prone to errors.
The AI Operations Agent aims to eliminate data fragmentation by automatically gathering, consolidating, and standardising shipment information. The result will be a centralised, accurate, and consistent data source accessible to all stakeholders in the logistics chain.
Planned and Controlled Implementation
This collaboration is part of Mark 3’s long-term strategy to build robust technology infrastructure and optimise operational systems. Over the past year, the company has experienced strong growth, and AI is seen as a key factor in meeting increasing customer demands.
Some AI features have already been implemented, with the full system expected to be deployed internally within four to six months. The gradual rollout will ensure both stability and data security throughout the process.
Dobby AI – Combining Advanced Technology with Industry Insight
Dobby AI was founded by Taylan Kalkavan, former Senior Product Manager at Dropbox, and Francesco Paduano, a former staff engineer at Meta. The company’s goal is to solve large-scale problems with simple, user-friendly solutions powered by sophisticated technology behind the scenes.
Before starting the project, the team spent a year conducting in-depth research into the logistics sector, engaging with stakeholders across the supply chain – from manufacturers and freight forwarders to carriers – to identify the most pressing challenges and the gaps in existing technology.
Expanding Physical Infrastructure Alongside Digital Transformation
Along with its technology investment, Mark 3 is also expanding its physical logistics network. The company recently opened a 12,000-square-foot facility at JFK Airport in New York to strengthen its US–UK operations and plans to launch a similar facility at LAX Airport in Los Angeles within the next 18 months.
Additionally, two senior executives have been reassigned to leverage their extensive UK–US logistics expertise in new global markets.
Conclusion – A New Era for Data-Driven Logistics
The partnership between Mark 3 International and Dobby AI is set to bring a major leap forward in logistics data management. By combining Mark 3’s international logistics expertise with Dobby AI’s advanced technology, the collaboration aims to deliver greater transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in shipment tracking and information sharing.
Once fully implemented, the system will provide customers with a more seamless and reliable logistics experience, positioning Mark 3 at the forefront of technology-driven transformation in the global supply chain.
