On January 18, Mr. Phan Kieu Hung, Director of Da Nang International Airport, told Nguoi Dua Tin that during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, the average daily take-off and landing output will be around 280 flights.
There are 8 domestic flights and 20 international flights to destinations like Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Mongolia, the Philippines, Cambodia, and India.
Mr. Hung also stated that a number of wide-body aircraft (B787, A350, and A330) will be used on international flights at a frequency of 6 to 8 flights each day.
Mr. Hung estimated that international flight activity in 2025 will increase significantly due to the participation of a number of new airlines, as well as new routes to cities, countries, and territories such as Emirates (Arabia), Air Premia (Korea), CityLink (Indonesia), and Aero Mongolia (Mongolia).
Domestic carriers also expand their fleets
Following maintenance and engine replacement, the aircraft will be put into service. At the same time, these airlines will resume some domestic routes and expand their overseas network to fulfill passenger demand during Tet.
To boost service quality during Tet, Da Nang International Airport performed infrastructure upgrading activities, ensuring passengers’ convenience and safety.
The waiting spaces, check-in counters, security checkpoints, VIP lounges, and other amenities have all been rebuilt and expanded to meet the increased number of passengers during peak hours.
Da Nang International Airport also prepares a group of skilled staff
In addition to enhancing infrastructure, Da Nang International Airport has trained staff to provide enthusiastic and competent service.
The port will improve passenger assistance services, particularly for the elderly, children, and travelers with special needs, making it easier for them to check in and travel.
Da Nang International Airport constantly prioritizes security and safety, especially during Tet, when there are a lot of people. Security inspections are vigorously enforced and closely coordinated with functional forces to ensure complete safety for passengers and planes.
