The German aviation industry is at risk due to strike warnings

The Verdi union is calling for the public sector and ground crew to cease work on March 10, 2025, in the midst of a significant aviation strike in Germany. The 24-hour strike is predicted to impact hundreds of thousands of travelers and cause significant disruptions at the majority of the nation’s main airports, according to Reuters.

Impacted in the coming days by the strike

There could be up to 2,000 flights affected at the two biggest hubs, Frankfurt and Munich. One of the biggest airports in Europe, Frankfurt, issued a warning that no aircraft could depart. It was suggested that travelers stay away from the airport and look out other possibilities in their flight information. It is anticipated that the strike will directly impact around 150,000 passengers in total.

Other cities suffered greatly as well

Along with the two airports, other cities that are severely impacted include Stuttgart, Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Hannover, Bremen, Hamburg, Berlin, and Leipzig-Halle.
