Vietnam Airlines expands fleet to cater Tet At Ty 2025
To satisfy increased travel demand during the 2025 Lunar New Year, Vietnam Airlines will receive three new aircraft in December, including a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner and two Airbus A320neos. The three newly received planes will give more than 100,000 seats for the peak Tet holiday in 2025.
Vietnam Airlines extends its fleet
As a result, VietnamAirlines acquired an A320neo with registration number VN-A515 on December 7 and a Boeing 787-10 with registration number VN-A877 on December 8. By the end of December, the airline is expected to acquire another Airbus A320neo with the registration number VN-A514.
The three new planes boost the airline’s overall fleet to 103 this year, including 31 wide-body planes. The Boeing 787-10 is one of the largest members of the Boeing 787 family. The newly delivered Boeing 787-10 will be used primarily on domestic and Northeast Asian flights. Meanwhile, the Airbus A320neo will only operate on domestic flights.
Benefits of Vietnam Airlines Fleet Expansion
Adding planes toward the end of the year will allow VietnamAirlines to quickly meet people’s travel needs. Previously, VietnamAirlines began early sales of 2.15 million seats, or more than 11,000 flights across its domestic airline network, to meet passenger demand for Tet tickets.
VietnamAirlines encourages passengers to plan, book, and buy tickets ahead of time for more convenient travel. At the same time, to avoid purchasing fake tickets or tickets with inflated prices during the Tet peak season, the airline recommends that customers purchase tickets through the website, mobile application, ticket offices, official agents, and request an invoice when purchasing tickets.
Flight Booking Situation During Peak Season of Tet 2025
As the 2025 Tet holiday approaches, the scenario for reserving airline tickets begins to heat up. Vietnamese airlines began Tet ticket sales early, but many flights are now practically fully booked. Some golden routes from Ho Chi Minh City to the Central provinces, like as Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, have seen a spike in ticket sales prior to and following Tet.
The Civil Aviation Authority said it will monitor the situation of seat reservations and airfares on domestic routes to promptly direct airlines to supplement capacity on routes with high demand, in order to meet passenger demand during the peak Lunar New Year period.
